He pointed out that energy is an important foundation and strong guarantee for national economic development. At present, the development of the energy sector in Burkina Faso is still in its infancy and the market space is broad. He is very optimistic about and welcomes Chinese companies such as CWPC to come to Burkina Faso for development, and actively promotes energy technology exchanges and corporate cooperation between Chinese companies in Burkina Faso. The Burkina Faso government will go all out to create a good business environment, provide more preferential policy guarantee conditions for Chinese companies, and promote the construction and production of energy projects as soon as possible, so that people can use stable and clean electricity and benefit the people of Burkina Faso from development.

Li Renchao said that CWPC will introduce the most advanced new technologies in the field of environmental protection, such as gas turbines, biomass power generation, and waste incineration power generation, to Burkina Faso, contributing to improving the country's environment and energy structure, and effectively implementing the value of the China-Africa Summit. Burkina Faso, located in western Africa, joined the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation for the first time in 2018 and has consistently and firmly supported China on issues concerning its core interests and major concerns. The two countries have cooperated in the fields of economy, trade, people's livelihood, security and energy. Last year, the trade volume between China and Burkina Faso was close to US$600 million. In the first quarter of 2024, the trade volume between China and Burkina Faso was US$153 million, a year-on-year increase of 13.3%. Since the resumption of diplomatic relations between China and Burkina Faso in 2018, China has successively sent five batches of medical aid teams to Burkina Faso, receiving more than 14,000 outpatient visits, performing more than 1,000 surgeries, and treating more than 13,000 patients with traditional Chinese medicine. There are about 480 Burkina Faso students studying in China, including 80 government scholarship students. China has provided economic assistance to Burkina Faso and built projects such as hospitals, government office buildings, and stadiums. After the resumption of diplomatic relations between the two countries, China sent an agricultural technology team and a vocational training expert team to Burkina Faso and provided emergency food aid to Burkina Faso.
